Comedy Zone

This was my second time at this venue. The building appears a bit old and run down (reason for lack of a 5th star). The staff is friendly and the food is actually much better than I had expected! Our tickets were $40 a piece but I believe the normal price is $20, typically. We went to see Murr and it was a great show. Our server, Dezi, was wonderful and very attentive despite how busy they were (SOLD OUT!). I had the meat lovers pizza and my friend had the buffalo chicken tenders and fries. We were both pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! For the both of us (drinking water) after tax it was 35.04. We heard the loaded nachos were a favorite, if that's your kind of grub. Neither one of us ordered drinks but we did see some that others had ordered and they looked delicious. Murr also loved the shots the bar made for him. There is pretty sufficient parking and it appears to be shared with another establishment, Texas Pete's. I have tickets for another show in July and look forward to that!

Went to see Luenell and had a blast for the most part. She'll tell you herself... they could have done a better job in preparation for her show. It was super packed which wasn't a big deal but the air conditioning didn't work for 95% of the show. Everyone was clearly hot and they charged everyone for water. Wouldn't be a big deal except during the show, you could hear them fixing the air to the point she stopped the show multiple times and said it was unacceptable. I wouldn't be surprised if she never went here again. But the food was surprisingly amazing. Just don't feel we should have paid the most for water to prevent getting headaches during the show.

I’m being nice by leaving 3 stars, let me tell you why. This club is sadly the best comedy club Greensboro has to offer. It stands for nothing the Greensboro culture is. Being in the audience while bsimone preformed, was a great first time experience with her. When it comes to the club! I booked my V.I.P tickets for a birthday night out. I arrived on time, nobody was at the front to walk us to our seats. We sat at a open table not at the very front, which I was hoping for. 5min later after a waiter takes our drink orders, here comes Matilda! “ You have to reserve a spot to be here”. Mind you I booked my tickets January 31st for the February 5th show tonight! HOW ARE YOU MANAGING BUT DON’T KNOW WHO YOUR V.I.P Guest are ????¿¿¿???. Place honestly needs to be shut down. They were serving many drinks without much food and expecting there guest to drive back safely???????????? We order only an appetizer because after reviewing their menu… I dined in at the 1816 Midtown. The club honestly gave’s off a Greedy vibe. The crowd was obnoxious and was not a representation of Greensboro, NC. I was embarrassed 😳 for the staff. I work in corporate America. This is not how you treat customers. Also we never got our appetizers after the hour long show was over. The best comedians usually don’t return back. Bismone is better than this club. This is a joke. Literally. Side note* The huge table ahead of us, had a guy spit on the floor! No class! Disgusting 🤮 a lady dropped her chapstick on this spit and then picks it up and puts the chapstick in her purse 👜 while standing in the spit she’s probably going to track into her household. Excuse me? Are we not in a pandemic? Yes I’m at a comedy club. Still basic hygiene codes should be followed.

Has a wonderful time, Tonyalee Davis was the headliner, along with Shelly Belly (Michelle Rider) of Tik Tok fame. What funny ladies, what a great time! I was right up front! And the ladies were so sweet after the show, too, for pictures and conversation. Love them! Two more shows, Sat 4/16 at 7 and 9p, you ought to go! Been decades since I went to a comedy club, had a great time!
