I stayed at the hostel which is good value, and had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I wouldn’t call the food exceptional but it was good enough

We had dinner at Greenhead hotel and can’t recommend it enough. The food is delicious and it’s mainly made out of local Northumbrian produce. Do book in advance!

Just had delicious lunch. Food was excellent, the staff were very attentive and friendly, thank you for a fabulous experience.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised, lovely menu, very friendly and welcoming staff and the food we ordered was delicious. (Beef burger, plaice, parmesan chips for our main, and white choc delice and a sticky toffee pudding) will definitely be returning. 👍

Lovely cosy pub, beautiful food. The early menu is well worth the money. We couldn't have managed all 3 courses good portions

What an amazing experience. An absolute hidden gem this place is. From the moment you walk into the establishment till you check out, the experience is above par. I will definitely like to come here again. Most friendly and customer oriented staff I have seen in a while. The only thing i would suggest the owner is to invest in some luxury beds to actually go with his theme. They look good at the moment but not as comfortable as you would want them to be.

Went here for our anniversary just after lock down ended , and the place had been taken over and done up.The rooms were very comfortable ensuite, the food was excellent.Will be going back again.

Delicious food! Beer battered cod was light & enjoyed. Sticky toffeepudding was fantastic and worth saving space for! Clean, tidy & welcoming

Lovely pub lunch whilst on a walk along hadrians wall. Looks like it's been modernised recently but still has a great atmosphere. Freindly staff, lovely food with gf options and good value. Covid safe.
