Mama Cucina

I dined here for the first time last night with family. The food was good. The portions were very large ( enough for 2-3 people) and I had to box the remainder of my food to go. I order two (2) alcoholic drinks.. a Manhattan and a Lemon drop…can’t remember the name. Both drinks were very good and strong. Our waitress was very nice. She was working multiple tables but managed well where we hardly had to wait for anything. I will have dinner here again.

First time to Mama C's and had lunch. The prices were reasonable, but then when I saw the portions come out...it was 2x the food I was expecting!! And the quality was absolutely fantastic! The bread served was amazing too. Service was top notch and the setting was great. I have only great things to say about this place and can't wait to go back!

This is a wonderful, authentic Italian restaurant! The menu is extensive. I had a hard time choosing which dinner I wanted. I ended up with Veal Saltimbocca which was delicious! The portions are very large which is an understatement! The ambiance is very nice inside plus there is a patio for outdoor dining. To top it off, the service was excellent!! Highly recommended!!

Ridiculously good - huge portions, great service. I HEART this place. I stopped into this place, staying at a hotel a few blocks away - and wow! - am I glad I did. My home town in upstate New York has tons of Italian restaurants and Mama Cucina reminded me of one of those places - authentic, robust menu, quaint, and with a feeling if intimacy unlike many McRestaurants out there today. I ordered the sausage and peppers (see pic) which had a great red sauce, and the sausage was delicious. It came with a huge salad and fresh bread. I took enough home to be today’s lunch, though it was still massive. The owner stopping by to check to see how things were going was an added touch. Great authentic Italian food in Short Pump. Will repeat.

Had been wanting to eat here for a long time because of the rave reviews . Got the chance last night and I was not impressed with the food or the service. I did notice the waitress at the table next to us was friendly and attentive, unfortunately ours was not. The food came in a large portion but was mostly pasta with just a small amount of meat and cheese. It is a small restaurant that fills up very quickly and when full is crowded and VERY noisy - not a place for conversation. Was glad I got to go but don’t plan on returning.
