Freshwater Tavern

Dined in on a Friday night. Wedding Guests were there for drinks and the place was very busy and noisy (in a celebratory way). Yet we were seated quickly and our Server, Josh, was exceptional, being knowledgeable and expedient in menu recommendations, drinks and meal delivery. Our dinners were plated artistically and were delicious! The view of the bay was exceptional as well. Overall, a great dining experience I highly recommend.

Our first visit. First off, Nick, our server was fantastic. The food was good for the most part. My Brother in law loved his burger. My Sister had a Cob Salad that was goot the plate/bowl that it was served in was, 1 almost to hot for her to touch. Serving a cold salad in a hot dish doesn't make sense. 2. She specifically asked that there be no blue cheese crumbles. Guess what was on the salad. For my meal, I ordered a half rack of " fall off the bone ribs", with a homemade BBQ sauce. The sauce was supposed to be mildly spicy, it wasn't. This is a hard one for me. As an award winning rib smoker, I make my own sauce. The sauce I had this evening was not the least but enjoyable. All in all, we enjoyed our time there, but felt that the price paid for our meals was not satisfactory. Will we go back? I don't it.

It's been about four years since we've been here, and it looks like they've remodeled to some degree, but it was a pretty cool place when we last went. They had a Margarita Flight on the menu that was fantastic, and their craft beer list was very good. I enjoyed the bar; it had a warm 1970's vibe. The main dining room view over the lake is wonderful, too.
