Menehune Murph's Hawaiian Shave Ice

Ice cream is like heaven, consistency is just right, only problem is that I personally don't like crunchy ice cream. (ice cream with little ice bits in it) It was crunchy as the shaved ice was surrounding it, if they had it as a side dish or something then that would be much better. The shaved ice was amazing, more flavored than Kona ice. Nothing was bad about it. I'm impressed. The prices are SO good, I only had to pay around 2-4 bucks or something for one, ~3 bucks for this huge thing is insane. 100% coming back.

Just went after a long skateboard ride with our 2 boys and we couldnt get enough of the 2 we ordered! All 4 of us Loved it & wanted to get another one for ride back! But instead we talked about it the entire ride back home about how light and delicious it was!!! Forsure our new family spot after we go to church down the street on Sundays!!

The absolute best shave ice ever!! We loved every bite and the syrup was fantastic. Brought over from the islands this is the place to go. There are always lines, people are super friendly, music playing and people eating shave ice all around. It’s very innocuous on Portland Ave in Gladstone across from the Gladstone Mercantile. Street parking and walking customers. Limited to very little seating so it is a grab and go idea or stand on the corner chatting with friends type of outing. Just the best! Go try it for yourself!!!

I have heard about this place and heard great things. The good reviews are well deserved!! I love a good shave ice and they did not disappoint. We went there to close out Mother’s Day. Even though we were there right before closing, the line was long enough that I didn’t think we would end up getting served. They had actually stayed open to accommodate the line which, was amazing. The gentleman taking orders, who I presume was the owner, was so friendly and has the best customer service. They have all, and I mean all, of the flavors that you could possibly want on shave ice. It was like finding a great shave ice place in Hawaii. Truly a gem! This will be a new regular place for us!!

Warm and welcoming owners. Made our first shaved ice experience informative and delicious. Added a scoop of ice cream in the center and that really took us over the top on cool and delicious. Got there just as they opened on a beautiful summers day and soon the place was filled. Hope to visit often when in the Gladstone area! Great job!
