Location is by where Kmart used to be. Taste is how I remember when we moved here in 1997. Still very reasonable. Always a lot of vegetables. I just love the chicken bowl! They were only take out.

I have been eating at Maui Teriyaki since they were in the Eckerds building next to the university 20+ years ago. I am so happy they have opened back up! It is just as good today as it was the first time I ate a chicken bowl!!!! Definitely worth the trip from Ocala. I would have posted pics, but you'd have seen an empty to-go box. Too good to wait!

The Maui grill is open. With modified hours. There is always parking and it is right next to Publix and a Dollar General. The parking lot feels like a safe area and you i have only see people there that are consumers of the stores. Ate here a while ago and the food was pretty good. Had a chicken teriyaki bowl (white meat) as take. I live close so it was still nice and hot.

This place has an amazing chicken bowl. Get one and cover it in their teriyaki sauce. One of the best things to eat in Gainesville easily.

Dont underestimate this small hole in the wall restaurant. This is my second visit and it was just as excellent as my first. They have the best teriyaki sauce ive ever had in my life. The quality of the chicken is amazing. Not to mention the prices are very cheap for the quality. 5 stars!!!!

Very tasty and reasonably healthy option. The vegetables are usually very fresh and I like how you can requests more vegetablee/less rice etc to turn preference. The prices are great and I've really enjoyed the steak, chicken, and vegetable bowls. I did have one experience where the veggies were off color and looked like they were cooked earlier, but every other expression has been excellent so I'll still give 5 stars.

I'm not entirely sure how this place has decent ratings. I consider it average. I had the chicken teriyaki bowl, and it was just okay. The rice and veggies are lacking in flavor and quality. The chicken, meh. Overall, I wouldn't have any high expectations with their food.
