Galley Restaurant

The variety of food available has gone down in over the years, very disappointing. I use to enjoy bringing my family along for the Friday night buffets and Sunday night seafood buffet which were amazing, lucky to get a buffet anymore at this club. Christmas dinner I couldn't attend with my partner as needed minum 10 people, that's disgusting when I pay my club fees and was told this. How do people use the club credit when can't attend or have regular buffet way use to. Would it hurt the club to have two varieties of cake so people can enjoy with a coffee/ cappuccino . Not even pizza on menu, same specials whole month. Very disappointing, years ago this club was 5 star now 2 star. Only thing going for this club is its view. Good to see regular buffet return to use club credit.

My husband and I thought we would book a table here for our 10th wedding anniversary last week. When we got there we soon realised the menu in front of us was different to what was on their website so the children and I were disappointed as we had our hearts set on something we could no longer get. So we looked over the menu and placed an order. We ordered 2 entrees and 3 mains. One entrée arrived 45 minutes later, the other arrived with 2 of the main meals (1hr from ordering), one meal was forgotten. My husband got up to ask where the fillet mignon was and a few minutes later the chef walks it out unmasked, we were not impressed. On cutting into my fillet mignon I see that the bacon around it is completely black, couldn't be any more burnt, it was inedible. I then cut into the beef and it was also well done (ironic as it specifically states on the menu that it is served medium rare and above), it was so dry. My husband cuts into his steak and it is well done as well, not medium rare as he had asked. The only decent meal on our table was the wagyu beef burger our children shared. We ate as much as we could as we were so hungry by this point and left feeling absolutely ripped off. $167 for meals that were revolting and for terrible service. When we got married at the sailing club 10 years ago every single guest raved about the food and how amazing it was but that certainly isn't the case anymore. We were so disappointed in the venue and it has now left a bad taste about a place that held such a treasured memory. We are never going back and never referring the Fremantle Sailing Club to anyone anymore. A 10yr wedding anniversary is a special milestone and now we are left with a terrible memory from wanting to celebrate it where it all began.

Fantastic club.... great location, easy communication to book berth for our boat. Harbour master met us at the jetty, very helpful and pleasant. Facilities were 5 star and really enjoyed the restaurant for dinner. As club members from mofsc in Mandurah we had a brilliant Easter at FSC. We will be back. Thankyou !

I'm not a member here, but i attended workshop upstairs. This review is mainly for the food downstairs at the bar, and the view! Lovely area if you love the water. Very peaceful. I noticed a lot of dog walkers around the area. The food at the bar was really good!! Basic pub food - steak sandwich, chips, fish and chips. But really great!! Good portion for the price and it tasted great!
