Benjamin's Roadhouse Restaurant

This is one review that I wish I didn't have to leave, but being someone who'd prefer to know, I feel compelled to leave it! My husband and I stopped here because there used to be a restaurant here that we loved, which, sadly, closed. But this, being called a 'Roadhouse' promised good food. Well ... We walked in and, looking around, it appeared to be more of a fine dining place. After hearing the specials, we perused the menu, which was pricier than we expected. I chose one of the specials, the chicken and waffles. My husband chose the steak tips, which said they were served on a bed of rice. Upon receiving our meals, mine was two very small waffles with a very small amount of chicken inside, and a maple butter drizzled over the top. His is what really surprised me. The steak tips weren't in any type of sauce or gravy, just literally on a bed of white rice with parsley in it. The meat was wonderful, but for $18 I would have expected a little more effort to be put into it! Mine was tasty, but could have been more. Especially more sauce, so I could have had some with each bite! So, to sum up the visit, the food was tasty, but not anywhere near quality enough to warrant the $50 we spent for lunch!

We were driving through Franklin looking for a place to have lunch. We found Benjamin's Roadhouse. We were very happy with our meals. I had a delicious chicken bacon ranch wrap (they had 3 different kinds of wraps) It was stuffed full of the fixings. I also had a delicious cup of onion soup. My friend enjoyed her Sunday Brunch meal choice of Sausage, eggs, toast and home fries. My daughter had the turkey club sandwich with fries. Again, another well made sandwich. We were very happy with our meals and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

We are visiting from out of town for our anniversary and enjoyed a nice dinner at Benjamin's Roadhouse. I ordered the special which was a Prime Rib Dinner and my husband had the Rib Eye. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly and my Prime Rib was tender and easy to chew. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. If you are looking for an exceptional steak or Prime Rib, definitely stop in here!
