Pho Dakao

I have eaten in many Vietnamese restaurants in Massachusetts, outside of the state, and in Vietnam, because I love Vietnamese food. I just moved to Framingham and wanting to check out this place. This place has the smallest portion I ever eat in. I ordered the Spicy Beef Udon noodle soup, and my girlfriend ordered Pho. We both still hungry after the meal because the noodle soup bowl has barely noodle and beef. It was a lot of BROTH. We tried the second time, but the same thing happened. It looks like a nice restaurant, but the portion is very disappointing. Trust me, and my food portion is average like everybody else. I would not recommend this place

put boiling hot soup in an undersized rubbery plastic container, such that the lid was detached when i looked inside. I could barely lift it up because the container was not insulated and piping hot. As such, I almost got soup all over my car. The food is fine, but this oversight is quite egregious and could result in issues for customers and the restaurant in future. Hot boiling soup in these plastic containers is unsafe, as the plastic is prone to melting. The fact that they neglected to use paper cups or plastic of a higher grade leads me to not recommend this restaurant unless you’re eating in.

I tried several things, first of all the salt toasted squid is Amazing. I wish I had gotten it when it was right out of the kitchen. We knew we had fried food so as soon as we got the food to the car we tried it and it was already soggy. Even though it was soggy it was delicious I cannot imagine how much better it must be when it is fresh. We also tried a few of the soups, the hu tieu and bun bo hue were okay, not 100% authentic but my husband said they were seasoned very well. I ordered togo, I was quoted 30-40 minute wait, I came in exactly at 30 minutes and the food had already been sitting there a while, also while on the phone I tried to order the food in the Vietnamese name, I only know the names in Vietnamese I assumed since the foods are listed in both English and Viet it wouldn't be a problem. The person over the phone told me "can you order with the english name, I don't speak chinese." So the person taking my order didn't even know the nationality of the restaurant she is working in? I had to pull up the menu online so I could order with the english name. Overall the only reason I'm giving 3 stars is the person who took our order. The fact she has no idea the nationality and does know the names in english and Vietnamese is seriously unprofessional.
