Applebee's

Every September, my family and I pick a restaurant to eat at in remembrance of my great uncles execution. We eat out constantly throughout the Julian calendar but September is special because uncle Sampson believed September was when he was born. Nobody really knew when his birthday actually was because grandfather told us he just kinda showed up one day. Grandfather and grandmother did their best to raise him as their own. Mother says herself and her siblings accepted him as their brother and it was left at that. Being an only child myself, it's difficult to understand what a large family must have been like. Were the happy? Well fed? Did they love each other or did they resent that many people living in a car? I've asked my aunt Gertrude most of these and she did her best to answer but it was hard to understand her with the breathing tube. I think she said they were a good group. When I asked about uncle Sampson she got sad and said she thinks he did what he did because he was blind and that made him especially angry. Mother won't talk about it so I have to trust aunt Gertrude knew what she was talking about. Uncle Samson was executed on a Friday at midnight and Aunt Gertrude died quietly on a Wednesday This year we picked Apple Bees and everybody seemed glad that we did. The food was warm and the water was cold and delicious. Mother ordered a salad and Fredrick laughed and said that salad is for bunnies. Father ordered pasta. Fredrick had chicken fingers. I wasn't hungry and sat in the corner of the booth and embraced the love of our perfect family.
