Richards Restaurant

Been a family favorite since I was a baby. The food has gone down slightly in quality but I also feel like their business has slowed down in recent years. The crowd is older but the atmosphere is comfortable. Sundays are their only busy day and I'd advise not going for lunch. The waitresses seem way too overwhelmed with the sudden large amount of customers that they aren't used to throughout the week. I love the salad bar... however this afternoon I asked for the oil and vinegar to put on my salad and when I poured the vinegar a large chunk of slime fell onto my plate. Looked closer at the vinegar bottle and the tip was filthy. I gagged. This sucked for me because it's one of my absolute favorite restaurants and I have been going there my whole life with my grandparents. I don't like writing anything negative. All in all the place is still on my lists of places to regularly visit...I wish the employees cared a bit more about cleanliness but it's not too horrible.

Good breakfast, but watch out for the coupons. Had a buy one skillet get one breakfast free of "equal or greater value". I know this seems not correct, but that's what the coupon clearly said. They would not honor it - they took off a $3 kids breakfast instead of the other adult breakfast we ordered. Non-negotiable, even after 5 minutes of discussion with the cashier and the manager. It's their coupon - they printed it in a local coupon book. I guess they don't have to honor it, but the coupon is meant to draw repeat business. Not honoring it kinda puts the damper on a good experience that one wants to repeat. Even more confusingly, my friend went there a week earlier and they correctly honored the "equal or greater value". So I guess it's completely up to who's "in charge" at the time?

For the better part of 2 years my family and i would frequent this place every sunday morning for breakfast. For most of that time it was fantastic. It was affordable with great food and great people. However the last couple times we've gone its been crap. Which sucks because we really liked this place. However we will not be eating here anymore after today.

Me and my co-workers have bought many of carry out lunches at this Richards and always enjoyed it. However, the last three times we have tried it, orders have been messed up. The dressing that is supposed to come with the BLT and C salad has not been available and we are not informed of this until we go to pick up order. Food quality has steadily gone down and the service is no longer reliable. Today, we not only were told the dressing was not available but one of the orders didn’t receive any dressing at all after she ordered the ranch. Such a shame as it was so convenient for us but we will no longer be back.
