Yen Ching

Would have been 5 stars except we recently ate at a Chinese restaurant that was just a bit better. Service at Yen Ching was outstanding. Not only were they fast, polite, and accurate, they kept my water glass full the entire meal (that means a lot because I drink a lot). Food was hot and fresh. No buffett 👍 at this time. Tables were sanitized immediately after each customer left.

For me, this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Evansville. The food isn't bought from the same supplier as most Chinese restaurants that I have visited. The atmosphere is really great. I love the egg drop soup and their General Tsos chicken. They had to remove their buffet due to Covid, but their food quality is superb. I bought a family package for four adults and we had enough for lunch the next day. Their service is always friendly and top notch.

This is a very lovely and authentic chinese restaurant. Absolutely love the decor both in and out of the building. Food was served fresh and blistering hot. I opted for egg rolls, egg drop soup and hunan fish extra spicy. The egg rolls are massive and very good. The egg drop soup is a bit different here than your standard chinese restaurant. Various veggies were included which you rarely see. The hunan fish was very tender and delicious. The portion size was most generous. I swear my take out box weighs more than 3 pounds! All in all I was highly impressed and will be back again. Lots of things to try on this big menu.

I am so surprised on this rating of 4.5. I imagined some food to be delighted. I am sorry and never try to give negative reviews, But i guess this could be the best American/chinese in this area. We have genuine Chinese that is amazing made to Chinese taste and flavors in California. Im sorry it was terrible to my taste

GREAT DECOR... the statues, the walls, interior, etc.. thank you. The fanciest LOOKING asian spot in the area. WORST FOOD EVER. Just go to sheetz or Mcdonalds. None of the food had any flavor, rice was old and dry, and meat was terrible, shrimp was tinyyyyy...even after i asked for extra jumbo shrimp. Worst chinese food I have ever spent $ on. But if they lasted this long, I'm guessing the locals think its good. Goodluck.
