Abo's Pizza

Food is excellent as always however the service post-covid seems to be extremely lacking. We received our main course which was a 12-in Greek Pizza about 5 minutes before we actually got our appetizers. When the server brought food to the table no apologies were made no concessions she simply plugged the food down on the table and said your appetizers will be right out and walked away. Didn't even wait to make eye contact. Kind of sad but the service industry has been declining severely in the past 20 years and this behavior does not surprise me.

For some reason, pizza in Erie is pretty terrible, but Abo's was the one place that we enjoyed after we moved here. Tonight, we placed an order online at 5:47. The estimated delivery time was 33-43 minutes. An hour later, I called to check the status of our order. It had not yet made it out of the restaurant. We got the pizza right around 8 pm, over 2 hours later, and an item was missing. The calzones were sauceless and disappointing - the "veggie" one was nothing but bell peppers and olives. Our kids were happy with the pizza but they were also starving. This was an utter disappointment.

We just moved to Erie and were excited to try Abo's Pizza. I ordered 2 medium sized pies and 2 Cokes at 4 in the afternoon. It took them 1 hour and 20 minutes to deliver, and I am literally less than a mile from their store. The pizzas were pretty tasteless, were only warm, not hot, and the Chicken Parm specialty pizza had almost nothing on it. This cost me $50. FIFTY DOLLARS! I will probably never order from them again. Lesson learned.
