The Cove

You are mainly paying for the lake scenery and sunset view. Wasn’t overly impressed with the overall experience, but we were there on a VERY windy evening. We were told it would be about a 20 minute late so we got on a list with our name/number (no call). So we walked down to the Bicentennial Tower since it was evening and wanted to walk by the water. We probably came back in 20 minutes or less since it was windy. Then waited about 10 more minutes before asking the hostess how much longer (most groups were sitting inside) and they told us there was a wait so we needed to get on a list. We told them we were on the list and then had to point to our name. We were then seated and there were at least three open tables when we sat down. Our wait staff was quick to take our order but only checked on us maybe once before hovering to clear the bill. I would recommend the Honey Mustard Chicken and the Blueberry Peach Hamburg cider ($5/12 oz.).

, very long wait for food. Then delivered in dirty dishes , waiter. Was pretty good , I will say. The Manager was gracious and reduced the bill. And was explained of the short staffing which is understandable. The view of the bay with the ships coming and going make the experience all the more.

Lunch by the water on a sunny June day - perfect! Our server was good, and the food was delicious. I had the Cajun walleye sandwich, which had a large piece of fresh fish seasoned nicely. Prices were a little higher than I had expected for lunch, but the location and good food left me feeling quite happy to have visited.

I got their “our own Cuban” worst Cuban ever. The ham was cheap meat, they maybe put 2 tablespoons of pulled pork in it. The Swiss cheese was crusty around the edges like it sat out to long. The Mayo looked old or whatever the condiment was that was in it. The fries, I think i got about 8 fries on my plate. NOT WORTH $13.99. My stomach did not feel right after our meal. My sister had the same. Will never go there again.
