So was pleasantly surprised with HapiFish I will say I have been to quite a few sushi places across California and a few out of state as well and I will say hands down this is the best sushi I have had the pleasure of eating, the quality is amazing and a good variety of rolls and the flavors were phenomenal between the "El Jefe" roll or "The Last Samurai", I can't recommend this place enough and I will definitely be coming back.

Great sushi to bring kids, fresh sushi and lots of space and small yard outside for kids to play.
Update from 2yr review above👆, I'm now giving it 5 stars. This place changed for the better, the place was not only revamped but the sushi was very delicious. It was original rolls like the vegan or beach bum, all fresh and full of flavor. Will be coming more often now, family voted and its now our favorite sushi restaurant in north county.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fish tacos were bland and not worth the $8. Had the El Jefe roll and it was tasty with the spicy tuna. Probably won't be back as nothing stood out and too many places to try to go back for what I would call an average place.

Great fresh sushi, comfortable easy going place in Encinitas. Great beer selection and the rolls are great.
Chandler is a brilliant server, a credit to the staff, who all chip in and work really well together.

Amazing! If I lived here, I'd eat here at least once or twice a week. Very unique beers, the match ipa was one of my favorite, chased by the house saki. Food is great, rolls are a little on the pricier side, but you get quality and great service. Great for date nights.

Great casual sushi spot. Perfect to hang out with friends or bring the family. Our server Pete was extraordinarily friendly and had great knowledge of the menu. And HapiFish is significantly less expensive than most other sushi bars without sacrificing any quality.
Been here before and will definitely come back.

1.45 hours delay in to go orders for same price than dine in.
Really bad for take out and poor customer service. You get service after all dining in customers are served.
Ordered to go onsite at 7.30 p.m. only got my order 1.45 hours later at 9:18 pm, after the doors closed and all dining in customers were served. The price is the same to dine in but your money is worth as a second class order if you don't eat on the restaurant.
Don't even offer am apology for the 1 EXTRA HOUR of wait from proposed 40 min waiting time.
Last pearl: a cockroach was coming from inside.
