Ely Steak House

This my first time eating here. I can tell you this, it was a treat! The service was wonderful, the decor was rustic with their stain glass lights hanging, and the food was amazing. My fiancés salmon was probably my favorite between that and my hot Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. We love Ely and now it’s one more place to love while we visit. My family and I went to Ely Steak House on Friday evening for dinner. My daughter and I had the queen prime rib and my husband had a steak. We felt the food was average, nothing to really get excited about. Not a whole lot of flavor on the steak or prime rib. I did like the buns and the honey butter though, but the meal itself was average. The salad seemed like bad salad that you could buy at a grocery store and I did not like the mashed potatoes and gravy and I felt the price was kind of expensive for what we got. Our bill was over $100+ and we all had water. The waitress was nice and helpful, but I don't think we'll be back.

My husband and I plan on retiring in the Ely. Each time we're in the area looking at a property we try a new place in town, trying to find what will be "our place" once we've made the move. Look no further. The last couple of trips we've bellied up at the Steakhouse. Great beer selection, nice old fashioned and the Bucky Burger is something my husband talks about for days. The Broasted chicken and patty melt are amazing! Last night the fellow next to me ordered prime rib - it looked amazing and came with the best looking popover I've ever seen. Defiantly what I will order next time. Don't change a thing! You've got two lifers comin your way!

We were able to get in on a summer Friday night with short notice reservations. Masks were required when not seated and all of the servers wore masks. Hand sanitizer was available at the entrance but didn't see it until on the way out. Service was pretty slow but our server was friendly and helpful. Tables were distanced inside but still very full with patrons. Good food but not truly steakhouse quality.
