The Great American Grill

In October, I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding elopement ceremony at Story Inn. The venue itself was stunning, but the fall colors were a dream! The inn is in the most quaint little town, surrounded by a beautiful forest of trees right off Brown County State Park. My couple pledged their lives and love to one another under the twinkle lights of the barn, and we were able to use various spaces throughout their property for their portraits afterward. Being able to have a comfortable, beautiful place to stay coupled with a spot offering delicious food... what more could you want for an intimate elopement ceremony? I would highly recommend!

The cabin was perfect! The food at the restaurant was incredible! I was in heaven. Our kids absolutely loved the rooms, there little kitchen, the whole ambiance was fabulous and plenty of room for the 7 of us!!! I highly recommend a stay here! And please, treat yourself to the 5 course meal from their garden, you won't be disappointed! Best part is that the 5 course mean was made vegetarian and they even made french fries for the little ones!!!

I HIGHLY recommend staying at the story inn. We stayed at the Treaty house. It was unbelievable. The hot tub was magical, the hammock dreamy and the cabin was perfect. The heated floors made a November stay everything we wanted. We got to know some of the staff while eating at the tavern and had the BEST.. I mean BEST pulled pork. Order the cowboy special, you won’t be disappointed. Truly 100/10 place. We just happened upon it and we will never stay anywhere else when we are in southern Indiana.

If you've never ventured to the town of story you need to its a cool spot to stop and explore, they have an inn, a restaurant, a basement bar, an outdoor restaurant or cafe that has amazing pulled smoked pork, the barn put back of the story inn is old and really neat I guess they often have weddings there, as you can see in the photos its beautiful, they have a wooded area beyond the barn where people also hold their ceremony for their wedding, I'm posting a ton of pictures so you can get the idea how cool this old town is, oh by the way supposedly there is the lady in blue who still hangs out there for all you believers who want to investigate.
