Blend

I love this coffee shop! It is conveniently located in the heart of Eagle River, and the coffee is so tasty. Their staff is really kind and sincere. They are closed a couple days a week, which is a bummer, but I try to come as often as possible when they are open! I love their cucumber lemonade in the summer and a dirty chai for the winter! 5 stars for sure!

My friend and I had an experience where we came in just 10 minutes before close and they were super nice about it and made our drinks. On our walk back to our car we realized we ordered the wrong drink for my sister and we ran back and again they were super nice about it and made us another drink. Love them, this place has such great coffee!

The coffee at Blend is genuinely excellent. starting with a solid roast, like collectivo, is certainly helpful, but the barista clearly has a deal of experience and skills that resulted in a delicious latte devoid of any bitterness. The interior is also comfortable and spacious, conducive to sharing a meal or having a small meeting.

I went to the blend coffee shop on a Saturday morning at 8:40 am. I was the only customer in the place and I ordered a coffee and piece of quiche. There were several empty tables, well spaced, and I was told that I could “dine in”. I paid for my order at the counter, self served my coffee, sat down at a table, and pulled out my iPad to read my book. A few minutes later the server came over and told me they don’t allow people to use laptops or electronic devices while dining in because they don’t want people hanging around too long, due to covid. I completely understand not wanting people to dine in, and/or limiting the number of people in your restaurant because of covid. However, if you do allow people to dine in, it doesn’t make sense to tell them they can’t use electronic devices while sitting there. I did not think to ask at the time, but I wonder if the same rules would apply if someone pulled out a newspaper or a book? I stayed about 10 minutes, during which time three other people came in for coffee to go, but then I left feeling pretty annoyed and misled. I certainly regretted the 50% tip I gave.

This is probably my favorite coffee shop, and I wish I lived closer to Eagle River so I could go here more often. I've been visiting this place for many years now and have never experienced anything less than exceptional service and amazing food and drinks. I am already looking forward to my next encounter with one of their cinnamon rolls.
