This is an excellent museum all about RRS Discovery the history of the exhibition with plenty of items to look at and of course the actual ship to board and explore. The cafe also serves nice food.

The exhibition is terrific, very interesting and informative. Amazing to see what these men achieved, with equipment which by today's standard appear cumbersome or inadequate. Even the ship feels a little small and must have been rather cramped with all the equipment, supplies and men. The whole experience provides a real insight to the challenging conditions and heroic nature of the voyage. Staff around the exhibition were informative and helpful. The cafe on site is also good. A really enjoyable and rewarding visit.

I arrived in Dundee on the Tuesday morning. As I came out of station, I could see the Discovery Point and what a fine looking building . I was invited to a conference in DISCOVERY POINT the following day. So I walked into the building and spoke to reception and asked for a wee look at the building for the people who have mobility problems. After looking at the shops and all the things that you could do in this building. I left the DISCOVERY POINT feeling very proud of being Scottish. On the following morning I arrived with my colleagues for a 4 hour course .There was coffee and tea and bottles of water. The view from our window looking at the River Tay was brilliant. We stopped for lunch and it was just what the doctor ordered. There was wraps ,sandwiches and cakes. We finished our meeting at 15.45PM. The staff that looked after us were very attentive friendly and professional. I feel like I could spend a week in the DISCOVERY POINT and still want more. I'm 63 and I enjoyed this building because it made me feel welcome.

This was an awesome experience. They do give Student discounts if you can show your student card. You get to freely explore the 3 different levels of the discovery ship. The museum before the ship is full of cool movies and learning experiences. Highly recommend this!

Amazing ship, can't begin to imagine the hardships the crew went through but lots of detail on board explained living circumstances at the time. Highly recommend a visit, we went round it twice and would still go back.

A wonderful museum and a tribute to people, endeavour, ingenuity, courage and determination. Beautifully laid out, you are led through a story before touching the history that is the ship. A wonderful setting staffed by truly motivated people.

I really enjoyed wandering around the museum and Discovery itself. Fascinating, full of information, friendly staff great day out. The ship is something else - 2 years living on that with little heat and a load of unkempt blokes eating seals!

Discovery Point interprets the history of the RRS Discovery, with displays focusing on the British National Antarctic Expedition of 1901-1904 led by Captain Robert Falcon Scott. The collections on display primarily relate to the history of the ship and the men who served on her, and they vary from navigational instruments and scientific specimens collected on the ship's expeditions to personal objects that vividly represent daily life for polar explorers of the period. Moored at Discovery Point you will find Scott's ship RRS Discovery, where you will follow in the footsteps of him and his crew, see how they lived, what they ate, and witness their hardships and their triumphs. A great day out for all the family.

Outstanding visit, ticked off my bucket list and I was not disappointed. A must visit place, even if not interested in Capt Scott or Antartic exploration.
