We have been going to the oncology department Cancer center at essentia health in Duluth for about 2 years now. Cannot say enough good things about them everyone here is incredibly helpful and kind at such a rough point. My wife has had chemotherapy here for about 6 months and they make it as good as they possibly can. Can't say enough good things about this place! Two thumbs way up

I had an amazing experience in the birth center last week! We had a beautiful baby girl, and I couldn’t imagine anything to have gone better. Every person who cared for us went above and beyond! My midwife Skye Rogers made the experience calm, personal, and beautiful. The essentia midwives are amazing! All the nurses and even the room service staff from the kitchen were great! This was baby number 7, and one of the best experiences I’ve had. Thanks to doctor Grimm also, the anesthesiologist, who was quick, efficient, and personable! Thanks you, staff at essentia birthplace!

Visited my sister who was admitted to a neuro unit. What a joke. As an RN, I was speechless at how she was treated. She suddenly lost lost use of her legs and required assistance of at least two people for moving. She’d usually get one to help her if she was lucky, resulting in multiple falls. The staff were not concerned for her falls. She attempted to get up when no one answered her call light for an extended period of time. The staff then put a simple chair alarm on her that could easily be pulled off. So dumb. I don’t recommend this hospital whatsoever.

We have a dear friend at Essentia Medical Center who is in somewhat of a comatose state. The facility has a no-visitor policy, unless the patient is dying. So our friend's wife (his only family member) is not allowed to see him. They allow her to call to talk to him, but he is unable to respond. When he was in a different hospital with a similar policy they allowed her to be considered an "Essential Care Giver" and be with him. St.Lukes and CCM Hospital both allow visitors. When she is with him they see improvements in his condition. I feel this policy is so inhumane and cruel in a country that we are considered "free". I am writing our congressional representatives to see if they stop this insane policy.

If I could give them zero stars I would. My spouse was brought to them via ambulance from three hours away with second degree burns to his face and arms. When he got released the put him in the waiting room. Then proceeded to tell him he could either wait outside or wear a mask. It’s literally zero degrees outside and snowing and he’s wearing nothing but a T-shirt. But hey let’s put a mask over second degree burns to please your covid rules. Then the rent a cop went up to him and said there’s no reason it’s taking them this long to come pick him up after he was in the waiting room for an hour. We live three hours away. Have no family there. What do you mean it shouldn’t take this long?? How dare you treat people like this. Especially someone brought to you by ambulance for burns. I’m disgusted

This poor review is strictly pertaining to checking in, not the services provided, which are typically excelllent. When checking in, we were asked to sign the consent to treat and consent to release information forms and pointed us toward the electronic signature machine. When I asked if we could read what we were signing, they couldn't locate the forms. While she vaguely read what the terms were and suggested we ask the first floor for them, I counted 5 printers. Not cool.

I’m here with my daughter asking questions to the female doctor. Then the mother of my child cuts me off while I’m speaking and goes on and on, so the doctor decides to completely disregard my concern about the blood tests being taken, symptoms and concerns about her condition, and the doctor proceeds to listen to the mother of my baby who goes on talking about her mothers illness that happened a couple of years ago.
