Bojangles

It was great! The steak biscuits were on point and the gravy was perfect. Haven’t had it in a while and after reading the reviews was a little nervous. I had a great experience. There was about four cars in front of me in the drive through but line moved okay. No trouble with understanding the person on the speaker and my food was hot and ready when I got to the window. I can’t speculate or grade based on other reviews. Just my trip today and it was a 10 out of 10.

Years ago this was a great location. However, I have tried going on weeknights at three different times the last few months, and each time they were closed. It was before 7:00 PM each time as well. I understand it has been difficult finding staffing for fast food jobs, but people should be aware of the infrequency in which this location is actually open.

This place consistently has the least polite staff of any fast food place I’ve ever been to. The food is fine and it comes quick so I guess I can’t complain too much but the interaction never fails to be “it’s bo-time what do you want… pull through” and then somebody who looks absolutely miserable at the window who won’t say a word and just stares at me until I hand them my card. Every single time.

This is the third time this is happened to me so I want to make whoever needs to know be aware of the employees that they have at Bojangles at this Duluth Highway location. I went to this location at approx 8 PM on 2/11/2022 through the drive-through and waited a long time without a response to the intercom. I even verified on Google maps that this location closes at 10 PM. I proceeded to drive around to see if anybody was behind the counter and saw the workers sitting at the dining tables talking and laughing. So I decided to go back into the drive-through again hopefully for them to realize that a car passed by and serve the drive-through as they are paid to do. However yet again there is no answer or service at the drive-through. I saw 2 cars do the same thing that I did going through the drive-through. When I drove around again I saw them hiding behind the counter peeking to see if anybody noticed. The other times that have gone to this location I had the same experience at the drive-through with no answer. This time I was actually able to see the workers inside dodging their duties. I had to drive over to the old Peachtree Road location instead.

So I picked curbside on the app before I left to pick up my order. I get there 5 minutes early so I was fine waiting a few minutes, however I picked to be there at a certain time, and not only am I seeing people go through the drive thru with no issues, they choose to completely ignore me the whole time I was sitting there. Curbside is literally across from the drive thru window so I know my car was visible and I checked in on the app. It wasn’t busy at all, so 15 minutes after they were supposed to bring it out, I see they are not going to bother with me and go through the drive thru. I say I have a curbside order, nothing else. Then I get this attitude and she says “umm ok pull around”. Trust me, I didn’t want to go through the drive thru(isn’t an option anyway on the app)just to get my order after already waiting. If you can’t handle curbside don’t offer it. Then they’re out of their signature sauce, just gave me two honey mustards(which they at least asked what sauce I wanted instead), but stiffed me one and still charged me for three. The chicken was alright but a little dry, fries were not that good. I like seasoning but these were covered. Last time I’ll go there.

I normally just use DoorDash and have my order delivered and I haven’t really gone to the physical location since three years ago, but I’m guessing from the slew of bad reviews that the place went downhill. As far as my experience goes, the chicken can be a bit hit or miss but when they get it right it’s heavenly. I guess it just depends on who is working that day. It is definitely a bit pricy compared to other chicken joints like KFC or Popeyes. Overall Id give the place a 6.5/10 since we shouldn’t accept the bare minimum. Opening a restaurant means giving 100% even if you’re having a bad day, people come to your place expecting a particular experience. That’s why it’s called hard work.
