We took carry out of Bhuna gost, chicken karahi and paneer masala. Food was really good, we enjoyed it with homemade roti.

This is a good spot for South Asian food in the area. The portions are very generous and the taste is 7/10 (prefer Pakwan or Zareens).
I would recommend either the beef nehari or the chicken karahi with some naan (I'd give the naan 8/10). They also offer free chai which is great.
Do not come here if you're looking for a great atmosphere or service. It's largely a hole in the wall, self-service type of restaurant. On a positive note, the wait is non-existent to be seated and food comes out fast.

From all the restaurants I’ve been too in the bay area that offer Indian & Pakistani cuisine bye far Shalimar offers the best Nihari.

Food was delicious and was ready fairly quickly. The dining area isn’t the best, but the service and quality of food make up for it. I would recommend the Chicken Seekh Kabab and Karahi Chicken.

Been going to Shalimar Dublin for 10+ years. Never get tired of it. Also been to SF, Fremont and Sacramento locations more times then I can remember . We love them all. Authentic, home cooked style, good ole Pakistani food served in an informal inviting environment. Shamilar…. There’s no substitute.

Place is decent. Not a large variety of food options especially if you traveling from far to come there. Would recommend other restaurants with better variety and good taste of food. There prices are ok given the place. However, they can do better than this given the customer loyalty and rush all the time at the restaurant.
