If you are looking for a kid friendly, dog friendly, or just a vibe friendly place, this is it! I’ve been frequently here in the summer and have never had a bad experience. Always fast and attentive staff even when they are packed. We love it here. Also their curly fries and bacon cheddar cheese burgers are my kids favorite 👌🏼👏🏼.

Food was good except wanted fried pickles and they were out. Had to clean our table off tho. Loud inside and then there was a screeching cat that began to play music and made it even worse. Ugh. They owe me a set of ear drums. Save the music for outside-too small of an area inside. Not impressed. May try again but may not.

I love this place, Love, love it. Service is great. Cheese curds are the best. They're expensive, the cheese curds, but isn't everything. They must change the oil often, peanut oil probably. Because they are cooked perfectly golden brown. Have a band almost every weekend. No cover. And yes it's loud. But a set of inexpensive ear plugs makes it all good. Stop in and say "How do" to the guys and gals behind the bar. I've read some of the other reviews and some mentioned the lack of service behind the bar. They are short staffed as most business are. I have always been served within a couple of minutes, even on band night.

It's an interesting place. I stopped here on a weekday and there was a pretty consistent flow of regulars, many of which were bicyclists detouring from the adjacent bike trail. The bartenders were friendly. I ordered a basic 1/3 lb burger, with no side, and a local craft beer for $15 + tip. The burger was fine. Their menu had a number of signature options. Most striking to me was the fried avocado slices, which I almost got out of curiosity. This seems like a good place to come for the scenic beauty of the DSM River, the regularly scheduled music events, outdoor yard games, and the community culture.
