Bagelman

Unfortunately Bagelman has morphed from a decent breakfast and lunch stop into a food delivery service, treating walk-in customers as third class citizens. A lack of (English speaking) staff guarantees 1) no one will be at the counter to take your order, and 2) there's a 50/50 chance you'll get what you ordered. As the sole person in the order line I watched 10 people behind the counter apparently so busy with Doordash orders that all 3 registers were unattended for over 5 minutes (see photo). Finally after ordering, and a long wait (during which the order taker came out and checked on my order yet again) my breakfast burrito was turned into a bagel. Don't bother with long waits for wrong orders, nearby are better options like Lou's deli, Pembroke Deli, C&C's Deli, and of course Amigos Deli. It's your hard-earned money and your time valuable, there are many other choices that will make you feel like you're the customer again!

This place has definitely gone down hill from what it used to be, from the orders being wrong, to the bagels tasting like it came from dollar general. The customer service can be better, with the exception of a few who actually greet you, the rest need to wake up. I blame that on the manager/ owner, he definitely isn’t happy with his job… I’ll spend the extra couple of bucks and go else where….

Best bagels in New England, possibly the entire USA! They have a friendly staff who is fast, and smart. Great coffee, great variety of cream cheeses and bagels. I like that they hire local students and train them to be fast, and efficient. I've never been disappointed, except when I get home and wish I bought some extra bagels!
