Top Pot

What a joy to watch the little pillows of flour floating in a sea of fresh oil. But mind you, not for very long, you see there is a reason Top Pot donuts are the best tasting donuts in the world...and they do not taste greasy or oily in anyway. They pay attention to all the details when it comes to crafting there creations of joy. There are so many different selections to choose from! The fresh blueberry and apple fritters are to die for, or maybe you feel like having a chai donut today. Top Pot and Preston Hollow has all your fav's guaranteed! PS... I came in right around 5pm the staff was still cheerful and greeted me with a smile. That's pretty rare these days when they were about to close most people can't wait to get you out. They said stay as long as you like we're going to clean up. So I did I enjoyed my donut and beverage.

Got a half dozen doughnuts and their Ovaltine coffee, it was all delicious! I gave the doughnuts out to my co-workers and they loved them. The Ovaltine coffee had a nice mocha/malty chocolate flavor and was a great complement. Overall was a little pricey, but worth the treat. The staff was super friendly as well.

The cookies and cream doughnut is out of this world! Oh and pair that with their iced Americano, man the best ever! They have a good selection of doughnuts to choose from and good espresso drinks as well. I love coming here and treating myself whenever I need a pick me up. Oh the employees are super awesome! Very patient and courteous.

Top Pot has some of the best doughnuts in Dallas. Their icing is generous and covers the entire top half of the doughnut, nut just a small band around the top like too many other shops do theirs. Besides their regular and cake doughnuts, they have "old fashioned" doughnuts. I don't know what makes them different, maybe its a mixture of the regular and cake doughnuts' batter; but they are my new favorite style of doughnut, that I haven't seen elsewhere. They occasionally have a sea salt and caramel flavor that makes my head spin (in a good way). Did I mention their icing is generous! They have seasonal flavors that are also very tasty. I don't typically drink coffee, and I haven't consumed Top Pot's coffee, but I can attest that it is very hot. If I had to make a complaint, I would say they sell out of doughnuts quickly (so get there early), and a few people on the staff seem to be introverts. They are nice, but not overtly friendly or helpful. Overall, if you're lucky enough to live near a Top Pot, go check it out!
