Dewey's Pub

Fun, relaxed atmosphere!! Staff are friendly and efficient, tasty food and always something going on. Love that the owner is a local gal who really supports the community with events and fundraisers but, one of my favourite things about Dewey's is I always feel safe! There is zero tolerance for violence, harassment or general jack assery, much appreciated in this day and age!! My recommendation for a good time, every time!!

It is obvious that they have the best drinks...not to mention the food absolutely blast i usually go there to play pool and during the evening and the songs just make my day. They serve food till 9 or 10 as far as i remeber. You can hangout all day here if you want food pool and music is amazing... the servers and the staff is as friendly as a human can be...love this place...

Tl;dr - For me this bar did not live up to it's 4+ rating. We came in on a snowy night. The place wasn't busy and we were served quickly. The service was good throughout our stay. They have a number of bottles and four beers on tap, of which the one I wanted was empty barrel. The menu fit entirely onto one page - there wasn't much to choose from, particularly for my gluten free GF. We got the "world famous" wings and I got a chicken burger. While the burger was alright, the wings were quite dry. Without thinking I could list five places in Calgary that have better wings, even on wing night.

After going to a local place downtown and receiving terrible appy's and even worse service, a group of us decided to go over to Dewey's Pub instead. A little skeptical at first, as the building has always been grungy and smelled like a urinal. To our surprise, it was welcoming and had a comfortable atmosphere; and believe it or not, there was no odor!! Our server Nicole was fantastic, the food was good, and no one at our table was without a drink for more than a minute. Congratulations Danni, and best of luck to you in the future:)

A great hang out place to have a beer or driks with friends, especially if you want a more upbeat atmosphere that might get a little noisy at times. Lots of live music, a great wing night and daily drink and food specials. There's a pool table and variety of different seating throughout the facility.
