Red Bird Bakery

First time here, and I am pleasantly surprised by the vibe...plus, I ran into a local from a Petaluma cafe (Aqus), Addie! Benny made my latte, pumpkin pie, which is divine. Tastes similar to the style over at Avid. Ileana (spelling?) was also nice to chat with while she rang me up for my items. I tried an almond croissant (one of my favorites, trying from all bakeries), and the gluten-free cranberry orange muffin, yum! I'm on a hunt for the best gluten-free, vegan options! Let's gooooo

I really love this place. I am big into supporting local businesses in the area. I ordered a cake for my cousin’s wedding party and it was spectacular. Everyone loved it so much. Most of my family members aren’t into cake but since they used mascarpone cream they all loved it and they did a fantastic job on the presentation. They used fresh roses and decorated it on the borders of the cake. They used beautiful flowers and nicely assorted. I had asked for red, pink, and white colors. They made it so beautiful and delicious. I wish they would offer student discounts since it’s close to sonoma state or some coupons/deals or a stamp card for frequent buyers.

Red Bird Bakery is the BEST! Everything from their food to coffee to customer service is amazing. I always get a veggie breakfast burrito or the avocado toast, and both are delicious. I really appreciate the type and amount of veggies they use for the burrito, and using radishes or mandarins on the avocado toast is genius. I also have to give a shout out to their customer service. Today I put an order in over the phone like I usually do, expecting to pick it up 10 minutes later. My morning got completely scrambled and crazy and I didn’t end up getting there until 30-40 minutes after I ordered. After a ROUGH morning with the kids, I was pretty frustrate that on top of everything I wasn’t even going to be able to have the hot cup of coffee I’d been looking forward to all morning. When I went to pay, the barista told me they were going to remake the coffee drinks since they had been sitting out for so long. I was seriously so happy and grateful. I know it’s kind of a small thing but it was just the small win that I really, really needed. That hot cup of coffee definitely lifted my spirits and made taking on the rest of the day a little bit easier. So, thank you to the baristas that worked today. I appreciate you! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
