Cod bites and chips and a carton of curry for £8.30, four scabby bits of cod, three the size of potato croquettes, chips possibly warm ups as they were luke warm. Luckily I don't live in Consett or I would be ashamed to say it was my local traditional fish and chip shop.

Just got a large donner kebab with an extra pitta for 11.40 (including delivery) and I can honestly say, it's the smallest kebab I've ever had. Didn't even fill 1 pita and the salad was just a pile if onions. I used to like this place.

Terrible service waited till 1am for food which I ordered at 11. Tried to cancel order was told food was already on way, then was told they had been and we weren’t in, yet we were sitting outside. Then was told they were busy and I should claim my money back through Deliveroo. Very rude and abrupt. Will NOT be ordering again

The service for delivery no good is takes to long to delivery.the fish and chips was cold it was in a box the fish not wrapped in paper the chips were cold aswell they were in paper and carton curry sauce was cold bread buns wernt good either looked.The fish was a bit tasty but on the smal size for the price.anyway I wouldn't recommend fish and chips and carton of curry and bread buns from them they want to get there delivery sorted out and portion size aswell i won't be using them again anyhow

Received food after one and a half hours. All luke warm, not fresh at all. Will think twice before ordering from Captain Cod again. Not happy with food, communication or service

Absolutely awful food tasted like it was days old and the spam fritter and battered sausage was greasy as anything will not be going back

Food and service is good overall but like every other takeaway one or two mistakes are made particularly when it gets very busy. Their time keeping for deliveries is mostly within limits but again when very busy lateness creeps in.

Need to update there hours why say open till 12 and refuse delivery at 10
