Karma

Maybe dine-in hereis good, but our take-out was so comically bad we actually thought this was an elaborate joke. Portions were tiny, taste (when there was some) was akin to frozen dinner fare. The most insulting was the "crispy" tofu which looked and tasted like slimy cubes of corn starch. Our nephew literally ran to the kitchen garbage and threw up (no joke). Best comedy of the month! We laughed non-stop, at how insipid the meal was. We then cooked dinner, as we were starving. Karma was a monumental waste of money - but offered some serious belly-laughs (and aches).

If you like a shady business- this is the place for you! As a loyal, longtime, frequent customer who made sure to always tip well. I am horrified by how we were treated tonight. The food is not even close to being good enough to put up with their lack of professionalism and good business practices. We go there all the time. All the time. As we expected, the bar was packed. So we waited- we were told it would only be a few minutes by the host. We didn’t mind the wait until we were told 2 times that we could not have the seats that became available- even though we were first in line for bar seats because people who had the “private” numbers of the bartenders had texted in to reserve seats. Keep in mind that we have always taken very good care of the bartenders. The second time this happened- the people who had reserved seats were not even there to sit down. So although they don’t take names for the bar when you’re standing there waiting- anyone who texts the private numbers automatically gets their seats ahead of you….regardless of how long you’ve been waiting or if they are even in the restaurant. The manager was well aware and didn’t care. Both the manager and bartenders were so rude to us about it. Their food isn’t that good- decent for a Concord but not award winning by any stretch and not worth being treated that way. Other people nearby were horrified that my friends were made to get up from the seats. We left and went elsewhere. SHADY AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!
