Have to say Saturday had a great night with the rugby showing followed by a cracking singer. The staff are so friendly and the homemade beef burger was spot on. Will revisit.

We had three delicious meals for lunch from the light bite menu and were pleasantly surprised to see steak and gammon there. The staff member was very friendly and dog friendly. We sat indoors which was nice, clean and warm. Our Rossy dog also enjoyed his sausage. Lovely area too close to the river

We stayed at a near by caravan park for 2 night, bobbed in for a few drink last night. We did not have food but what was coming out looked lovely.
The manager behind the bar was amazing and made us feel so welcome, the locals we got chatting to where so lovely too.
Amazing , friendly ,cozy, old school country pub. We well definitely be back.

Went yesterday with my partner and 2 dogs 🐶🐶 . We had a lovely ministrone soup for starters it was really tasty and roast beef Sunday dinner,the beef was cooked to your preference (ours being medium rare) it was cooked perfectly and Very well presented. Bowl of water for 2 tired dogs and the young girl who served us was really nice , polite and chatty.

Warm friendly and inviting-pies looked especially delicious. Good wine too. Very new team so understandably some teething issues but very determined to get things absolutely right so we will go back. Very easy walk and close to CCC site but take a torch if dark on return.

Nice enough, but missing some atmosphere and a very limited menu if you're a veggie. Decent sized beer garden and dogs welcome. Outside was nice, inside was a bit drab and the staff were ok, but got the impression they didn't enjoy work and weren't overly friendly . We ordered garlic bread and some sides for the adults, ice-cream for the kids, the sides seemed to take ages although when they did arrive the food was delicious. Bit pricey £24 for a bottle of prosecco.

Food: Amazing steaks well cooked with tasty sides. Service: Very friendly, pleasant, and efficient bar staff. Atmosphere: great music, clean and welcoming. Only passing through or would be regulars.
Updated: went again the day after. Beef cheek pie and Lamb Shepherds pie highly recommended. All home cooked food.

This place is great. The food is very good, the staff are really attentive and the beer is kept well too.
I had the whitebait to start and it came with a pot of exceptionally strong garlic dip. Wow, nearly blew my head off, I’m not complaining but the wife wasn’t impressed. 😁

A friendly atmosphere in a beautiful setting with an outdoor area and entertainment.
The staff never stop but are so attentive, friendly and helpful.
It’s great to see that the owners are also there to ensure you have the best possible experience and this also gives a real personal touch.
The food is incredible. I took my family and our meals were outstanding and of the quality you’d expect from a top restaurant.
I had a mixed grill and it was out of this world. So much delicious meat and cooked to perfection. The picture doesn’t do it justice.
If you fancy a trip out on a nice summers day, this place is a must!!

Managed too squeeze us in for Sunday lunch and so glad they did. Sunday roast where delicious and meat was mouth watering. Had a try a dessert and Eton Mess was very nice. Would use again but very busy so book rather than take a chance.
