Eli's Bbq

Had dinner at Eli's today. I had the pulled pork, baked beans and ribs. The pull pork was very good, but they did not give me as much as I had in the past. Ribs were okay, but the beans were more soupy than beans. My wife had the turkey and she was pleased, but agreed with me on the baked beans. We do like Eli's and will probably return, but we hope the bake beans are better.

Eli’s is a Cincinnati must. It may be the best BBQ in the city. Located on Eastern Avenue near the Precinct, Eli’s offers great classics such as smoked wings, rib tips (what I had today) and more. Their sides are excellent with my personal favorite being the jalapeño cheddar grits 😋. I enjoy Eli’s and have been several times before today. Always good food and friendly service.

Picnic style dining outside with a large area for play. I saw kids kicking a ball and running throughout the “yard”. Looked like a soccer team had decided to grab a bite after a game. It felt like we all showed up for a backyard cookout. BYOB for outside dining, indoors they have cans of soda and water for sale. Indoors plays old 45s with a record collection to rummage through while in line. The covers will keep you talking and reminiscing. There are a few small tables inside as well. But the food will steal the show. Reasonable prices cheaper or comparable to fast food chains. My husband and I ate two dinners for $25. Pulled pork with 2 sides. Ribs are a tad higher but worth it! Enough to take home leftovers. The feel of a family gathering with no mess. You will definitely be back once you try it.

This is my favorite BBQ joint! Amazing ribs and quick service. The cornbread is also delicious along with the jalapeno grits. The macaroni and cheese is okay but my boyfriend loves it. I just prefer a baked Mac. My boyfriend loves the pulled pork but I'm not a pulled pork girlie so I'll take his word for it. The service is super friendly which is amazing to me and they go above and beyond. The atmosphere is very casual so don't go thinking you will get anything fancy but it's perfect for what it is. The one thing I would like improved is the bathroom but at least they have one. Parking is on the street so if it's busy I could see that being a burden but it would be worth a walk. Highly recommend this place to anyone in Cincinnati or passing through. We enjoy going even from Dayton!
