Worked here from 2012-2015. Some things have changed since then, but the quality of the fish and creativity of the rolls remains some of the best around.

Coast Sushi Bar in Wicker Park is everything I remember, and then some. The sushi and seafood appetizers are phenomenal, the service is divine, and they now have a liquor license! I’m so happy that I was able to enjoy a nice meal on their 20th anniversary, on a Saturday night in Chicago. The Angry Salmon Appetizer and the Firecracker Roll were absolutely perfect! How I miss this city! 🥰🔥🎉 And a special thanks to my amazing server, Ricardo!

Met a friend for dinner here on a Thursday evening. I haven’t been here since before 2020, they now only have one section of the restaurant, it’s not as big as it used to be but the quality of the food is still the same. We got the edamame as an appetizer and 6 rolls for dinner and mango and chocolate mochi for dessert. Everything was so good and the server was very friendly.

Coast is a great place, and it's BYOB. The sushi is very fresh, and every roll packed with flavor. The service is impeccable and super friendly. I would highly recommend going and taking a great bottle of wine that pairs well with sushi. I gave the atmosphere three stars because it's very bland in the place. The walls are bare, and there isn't a theme or any that makes it warm. From the outside, it looks very mediocre. But, don't judge a book by its cover.
Definitely recommend it and will be back very soon.

I had moved away from the neighborhood and forgot about this place. But thanks to my gf for the great reminder how great the sushi, soup, and appetizers are. I highly recommend this place. And it's always a good thing when it's BYOB.

Still B.Y.O., and still some of the best sushi Chicago has. Don't let the byo part fool ya, they've got excellent food, in well over a decade of eating here I've yet to have a bad meal!!
