Ocean Prime

I celebrated my birthday here, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Upon checking in with my reservation, my husband and I were seated in a booth. When our waitress arrived, she walked us through the menu and recommended a refreshing, delicious drink for me. She recommended good food choices for our dinner choices and mentioned that my birthday dessert would be on her (that was sweet!). This will be on our list for an elegant dinner choice when we return to Chicago.

Stopped in for dinner on a Monday night. No problem getting a seat at the bar. Bartender recommended the surf and turf appetizer (scallops and spare rib). Always listen to your bartenders. Good thing I had to walk a ways; the chocolate torte dessert was enough for two easily. Will be my new steak and seafood spot when I'm in town.

We are in town for a Bears game and friends suggested this restaurant. The place is gorgeous and has a very cool vibe. The food was delicious and the service was on point. Our server, Charlie, gave great suggestions and made the meal an enjoyable experience. A bit of sticker shock at the final bill but it was worth it from the oysters and shrimp cocktail appys to the yummy meals to the divine desserts of peanut butter chocolate deliciousness and a final chocolate martini!

It was my family and I’s first time at Ocean Prime and experiencing fine dining. We decided to celebrate a birthday, and the staff was phenomenal. They accommodated us as best as possible, and the overwhelming atmosphere was a memorable one. The birthday girl was ecstatic and enjoyed her birthday! The food was exceptional, but the chef was heavy-handed with the salt, and the portions were decent for the price. I consider this experience for special occasions only, but Ocean Prime could be a place for happy hour, as I heard the drinks are good, too. I would recommend this place and hope to return soon.

Where do I start. From the time we pulled up til the time we walked out it was a 10/10. I went for my birthday. The greeting was very inviting. The atmosphere gave you luxury. They have dim lights which is great because all of the furniture/ accessories complimented each other. Our waiter Angie was phenomenal you was very funny and also knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Literally from the bread all the way down to the dessert was delicious. Now just know it's not cheap so make sure you bringing the $$.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. The food is always delicious and prepared perfectly! The service is always top-notch! I come here specifically for the pineapple picante! I love the truffle popcorn, the Chilean sea bass, all the sides, and crème brûlée. I take myself here for my birthday yearly and always have a wonderful experience!

Can I find the words to describe Ocean Prime? Exquisite? Fantastic? Delicious? Perhaps the most delicious food I’ve ever had? It was so good. Wonderful atmosphere. Excellent service. I decided to try out a new high-end location for an early dinner on the weekend of the Fourth of July. Both my SO and I thought the food was amazing, filling, and timely. Their cocktails are both refreshing and taste amazing. They are also more than a regular mixed drink, since some like their smoked old fashioned have additional thought in the process. The butter cake is to die for, especially if you're a fan of butter cake. My favorite part, however, was the service. The server (will add his name if I can find the receipt later) was amazing, sociable, attentive, kind, and he answered all questions throughout the evening. The staff as a whole does a great job to make sure you are taken care of, and to provide an overall enjoyable experience. My SO and I will definitely be returning quite often!
