Always a cosy atmosphere in winter and sunny beer garden in summer. Recently under new ownership and back on form after some hard times during/after Covid … friendly service, good selection of drinks and food :) Please support a local pub!

How could you better a restaurant with a view like this! The food also was pretty good at reasonable prices. I'll definitely return as will my friend who lives locally.

Wife and I popped in for lunch, after a long walk and were very glad we did.
Fish & chips and burger with accompanying pints of Butty Bach. Perfect!
Angela was a great host and deserved the big tip we gave her!
Will definitely return.

We had a lovely lunchtime experience here, today. Thank you to the wonderful Emily and her super staff for making our family's visit so enjoyable. She went out of her way to cater for our son and his multiple allergies. Everything we were served was delicious. Thank you, Emily and team.

Just a quick bite, will up date when we have a meal, this was on the off-chance for a quick bite and as they are the new owners/managers thought I would try them out I was not disappointed, plenty of food on my plate and friendly staff. Will be back.

The refresh has opened the pub up & it feels much lighter & welcoming.

Lovely walk through the fields to The Bell with the dog. Pub only reopened that day, so no food only bar snacks available. The chilled cider went down well, plenty of bowls of water out for the dogs didn't even need to ask.

A real effort was made here with the food which was clearly homemade. Nice staff too. Decor could be improved upon and the bright lights turned down. Ales on tap and try and get to the darts board before anyone sits in the table blocking play!

Family friendly pub, beer garden next to a big climbing frame but separated enough to still be quiet. Dogs welcome. Good undercover outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Hearty traditional pub grub and a very good steak.

Lovely friendly atmosphere. I had a gluten-free steak meal and where the chef made gluten free onion rings so I had a complete meal, usually restaurants just remove them from the plate! The steak was cooked just as I asked and melted in my mouth. Even though not all marked on the menu a lot of the dishes were gluten free. Staff were attentive and friendly. Very relaxed environment. Would recommend.

A fantastic cosy pub with friendly and helpful staff! I took my best friend here for her birthday meal and we both had the chicken and bacon pie with veg and gravy... it was delicious!!! Both plates were completely clean at the end 😊 The owner/head chef Emily was so friendly and down to earth as were the other members of her team. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely be coming back to try some more dishes from the menu!!

Great food in a bit of a dated environment. It has everything a good pub needs, like an outside area, plenty of parking, WiFi, dog friendly. The place looks and feels worn out, so the environment isn't that nice. The menus look like someone typed them out in Microsoft Word in 10 minutes.
The food is really good though, and the staff are great. The steak with pepper sauce was fantastic and there was loads on the plate. The desserts are really nicely presented. Not the cheapest place around but it's a fair price for food this good.
