Riverside North

Riverside is a classic lunch staple in Charlottesville. It's got everything you could want for lunch with very reasonable prices. I think everything is under $5! My go-to order is a cheeseburger with onions, mustard and ketchup, and pickle. Get the fried mushrooms and ranch, and a Dr. Pepper. And get a side or basket of fries! And here's a tip to get that fry seasoning on every fry: put the seasoning ON the ketchup!

Ordered a turkey sub with cheese heated.. there’s no cheese and look at the turkey! It’s so dry and overcooked it’s rubber, you literally can not eat it. I ordered a side of cole slaw and this is what I given. (No it hasn’t been eating out of that’s what I was actually given!)The double bacon cheeseburger I got was suppose to be double bacon cheeseburger sub. The fries and the burger tasted like grease more than the food it was suppose to be. My money would have been better spent at McDonald’s. They weren’t even that busy for my order to be this bad. Will not be returning.

We visit this restaurant from time to time and while their food is good, we may not be back again. When we were checking out, we noticed the staff was not using gloves to handle the food and they were wiping their hands on their own shirts and pants. The staff is friendly and food comes out quick. Please reevaluate your staff wearing gloves to handle food.

My wife and I started coming here about 10years while following UVA Baseball with friends that were family members of Kyle Crockett whom was a pitcher for UVA at that time. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, definitely Pro UVA and the food is delicious. Our favorite is the chicken philly sandwich with provolone cheese and split a basket of fries that we never finish. It is the best sandwich of its type I have eaten nationwide. I highly recommend it!

Good value for the money. Burgers remind me of a carnival or festival burger, but definitely very tasty. Onion rings were delicious, fries could use an upgrade. Atmosphere was fun and relaxing. Plentiful seating with booths and tables on one side and bar seating on the other. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Recommended especially if you are in the mood for a good, no-nonsense burger.
