We were in town to celebrate our anniversary. Magnolias ended up being a great experience. The service was a 10/10 and the food was great. We dined in the back room of the restaurant where it was more quiet and less busy. My wife enjoyed the bourbon bbq pork chop with sides while I had the low country bouillabaisse. I almost forgot to mention our appetizer. The Down south egg roll was amazing, it’s a must try!

We went to Magnolias based on a recommendation from a friend and it was a fantastic experience! Steven was probably one of the best servers we've ever had. He was friendly, attentive and made our dining experience memorable. We had the pimento cheese, chicken livers, seafood grits and parmesan crusted flounder. All were fabulous but our favorite was the chicken liver. Highly recommend Magnolias but don't forget to make a reservation.

This was the best food of my trip down to Charleston! The fried green tomatoes were amazing, crispy, and flavorful. I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, creamed corn, collard greens, biscuits and gravy. It was a big portion and I struggled to get through it but was very good. Also got the bourbon glazed pork tenderloin which was good. This dish was more reasonably sized, hah! The pecan pie was also great. LOVE this place and will be going back again! I told my family they need to try it next time they're down there.

I wanted to take my mom to a nice dinner in Charleston for her 80th Birthday. Every time me and my husband visit Charleston we would always see this spot but thought it was like a cafe and not necessarily a nice dinner spot. Boy were we wrong. This place is so good!!! Our server was Willie who was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and Charleston food in general. He was so kind and pleasant. We all loved our food but let me recommend the Down South Egg roll as an appetizer. Matter of fact, order two for the table. Delicious! Willie also brought out a desert with a candle for my mom, on the house, and it made her feel so special. Thank you Willie and Magnolia’s for making our dinner so nice! We will be back!

Our first time here. We came in for our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday. The tomato bisque soup was really good. My husband had the lamb chops and he enjoyed them. I had the pork tenderloin with red rice and the pork was cooked to perfection but the red rice was way too sweet. The service was good and our waitress was hospitable. If you're looking for an upscale date night try this place out. I rate it overall a 7 out of 10.

We came here for dinner. Great ambience, the waitress we had was very kind and personable. Everything was plated very beautifully. I loved my bouillabaisse, rich and savory, the shrimp was fresh and perfectly cooked. My husband didn't like his steak much, and it was the cheese on top that ruined it. It masked the steak so you can't really taste much of the steak. The sauce was very strong and he didn't like that as much neither. It might be better getting it without the cheese.

Had an amazing dinner here to celebrate a birthday. The food was perfect in every way. As others have said, definitely end off with the pecan pie, but otherwise you can't seem to go wrong with the menu. Also an extensive, and I do mean extensive list of wines available as well as some half bottles.

Had always heard great things about this place and it lived up to the hype. A few friends who grew up in the area recommended this place and I was right to listen to them. The service was great. Large wine list. They were great about allergies and making sure no cross contamination happened at any time. Always making sure what was ordered was prepared safely. The fried green tomatoes and house made pimento cheese were delicious, definitely recommend. The seafood over grits was fantastic and was served over a delicious sauce. The desserts were heavenly, specifically the pecan pie and espresso cheesecake. Will definitely be back

This place was amazing from start to finish. Enjoyed the walk-up to the actual restaurant, historic street with a neat vibe. Inside seated quickly and very high class elegant atmosphere. Our server, Gabe, was quick to greet us and offer us recommendations. Ordered the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, and the bouillabaisse. All of it was delicious and amazing, so much food couldn't even finish it even though you wanted to find the room. About halfway through, my wife and I switched plates and enjoyed the others plate just as much. My kid got the cheeseburger off the kids meal and it was huge. He though the cheese looked like a brain so had to include that picture. Not from this area, but I would definitely recommend it!! If I ever come back to this area this will be a must have dinner spot.

What a great foodie experience. From our crispy shrimp cake appie to our main courses and dessert, everything we had was delicious. My wife ordered the wreck fish and I had the seafood bouliebaisse, both flavourful and tasty. We had the pecan pie for dessert. Their cocktails were also excellent as was their espresso. I’d highly recommend Magnolias to anyone who visits Charleston.
