The most delicious scones you will find in the Triangle. My favorite is the cardoman pistachio. Chill environment with a very friendly staff. Parking is free and convenient in their lot.

Wonderful drinks. Haven’t tried the baked stuff yet. Love coming here to study, cozy with billy holiday playing in the background. Free killer WiFi.

Good coffee, outstanding baked goods -- I've tried 4 different scones and they are all excellent. I especially liked the cardamom scones and the apple scones are very good, too.
Not a glitzy environment, but comfortable.
Music is good, people are friendly.
Although they open at 7 am, if you want warm scones, fresh from the oven, wait 'til 7:45 or so.

Very pleasant cafe. We stopped in for a couple of blueberry scones, a hot tea and a coffee. All were very good! The scones were moist and not too sweet, the coffee was hot and well balanced, self served from a pump pot in a real mug. A verity of different teas were available again served in a real mug. The atmosphere was quiet with people working on laptops with earbuds. Now we know where it is (we drove past it twice ), we would call in again if in the area.

Great little place to stop for coffee and baked goods. If you get in early, the scones will be fresh out of the oven. We had the apple scones and they were moist and not too sweet. They do a good americano, too. Highly recommend.

Authentic small business coffee shop with the best scones out there. Find myself coming back several times a week to hang out here. Plenty of space (can get crowded on the weekends depending on the weather) but still is a much more laid back alternative to some of the other cafe/study spots in town.

I love this place, it's definitely my favorite coffee spot in Chapel Hill. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The coffee is great, and the baked goods are even better. The brioche a tete is my favorite. If you're looking for something sweet, definitely go with the oatmeal raisin cookie.

This little hole-in-the-wall has REALLY good bread! It looks like a little coffee shop (and it is) but the secret is:
BAGUETTES!
They bake their own baguettes and sell them for a fair price. Great texture and flavor, prices squarely between Weaver Street Market and Guglhupf Bake Shop. I prefer these baguettes over Guglhupf but it is essentially a tossup with Weaver Street.
SCONES
Scones are REALLY good (for scones...after all, scone actually means "failed Crescent" in The Kings English).
BRIOCHE
The brioche is not exactly what I would call French Brioche, as it is very dense, but it is really quite good, with its own unique texture and flavor.
Bottom line:
Authentically friendly owner-operators. The quality is high and the attitude is great. I go out of my way to take expresso and breads from The Bread & Butter.
