Subway

Was in the other day and they were beyond under-staffed. It took twentyish minutes to get one sandwich with one person in line in front of me. The woman behind the counter was completely overwhelmed by even simple requests. She started to make my sandwich with the wrong meat then argued with me when I pointed it out and had her change it. I haven't had red meat in years, I seriously doubt I forgot that during the twenty minutes I was standing in line. She had my sub in the toaster before asking me if I wanted it toasted. I didn't, but when I said that she got confused and flustered so I decided to just let it go since there were people in line behind me. I gave two stars because there is a chance she had just been alone too long and was overwhelmed and normally it is a great place, so I guess the second star is a "benefit of the doubt," star.

This was a special treat for our grandson, because we never go out anymore! He ordered a foot long ham and cheese, and they fixed it exactly as he asked. We were in and out very quickly. The associate was very friendly and listened to his wishes. He declared the sandwich was "perfect!". It remains his favorite place for a quick bite.

Will pass on visiting this Subway in Cedar Rapids again. Guy making sandwiches was fast but sloppy, cashier worker talked over him and guests. Sandwiches were technically accurate but they were a mess when opened. Guy was more worried about going fast than providing a nice product. Subs shouldn't require a fork. Place was clean I guess, so there is that.

We arrived just as they were closing. I appreciated the employees being quick and efficient. The employees did not act like we were disrupting the closing routine. Many stores (any type of store), I have been to close to closing time, employees act unfriendly because they want to close and leave. These employees were awesome. Thank you
