Food was great and came out quickly. The attendant was super nice. When first walking in, it reminds you of a fast food joint, as if you were walking into a McDonald's. But they serve food that's restaurant/cafe quality. The portions were great and filling and the price was great and not expensive. I would totally come back and I'd recommend trying Garland Cafe for anyone.

I was searching for a good place to eat breakfast and this spot is top rated in my area. The reviews were great so I figured I'd try them. I was not disappointed. This is a small cafe but big on taste and portion size. I ordered the catfish dinner and a small order of buttermilk pancakes. Very very good. I will definitely be a regular here and the prices are very affordable.

Hello new followers!! My mom and I went to Garland Cafe in Carrollton today and we were not disappointed. I'm not sure how long this location has been here but it is tucked away in a shopping center at the corner of Marsh and Rosemeade in Carrollton. We dined in and were surprised to see they had a little traffic inside and at the drive thru. We went in around noon on Saturday, they were quick to take our order and quick to bring our food. The food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait 10 mins or so but I didn't mind the wait. I got a double cheeseburger with bacon (I was hungry) with seasoned fries. My mom got a pancake with hash browns and bacon. The burger was big (seasoned too!) and tasted homemade. My mom said her breakfast was awesome, she actually finished her food, she usually, always has leftovers everywhere we go. Needless to say "WE'LL BE BACK". Thanks for reading! Follow me 🥸

We thought we would try it & we are soooooo glad we did!!! They cook EVERYTHING to order so just know it takes a few minutes to get your food. It is worth the wait!!! Food was HOT when we got it, which is they way it should be. French fries, bacon, cheeseburger, fish all cooked to perfection. The man who took our order was very polite & gave us great recommendations. They serve breakfast, lunch, & dinner. BTW, the food was soo good that my husband went back the next morning to try their breakfast (he thought it was just as good) Definitely a good little spot to go, you will be glad you did.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had high hopes for this place and it turned out to be a huge letdown. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger with no bun. The Swiss cheese was processed Velveeta style slices. Seriously, charge an extra 50 cents and give me real cheese! The onions were mostly raw and the beef patty had zero flavor despite being fresh, not frozen. The crinkle fries were good, but they were not salted. Hubs ordered chicken fried steak. The steak was obviously a frozen patty like fast food restaurants serve. He said it had zero flavor beyond the grease. The mashed potatoes were stiff and dry and probably instant. Ditto the gravy. The roll was served straight from the plastic bag it came in. On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. I understand the owners are trying to keep costs low, but with so much competition in the diner space, they really need to step up their game and decide if they want to be a sit-down restaurant or a fast food place. Frankly, we have had better meals at fast food places.

The fish plate was excellent! Large fish fillets. Great flavor. Not too salty in my opinion. The dinner was hot and fresh out of the oven. The hush puppies had a great flavor and complimented the fish very well. We called our order in and it was ready as soon as we got there, about 20 minutes. The cashier was very efficient and pleasant. Excellent job overall!
