In the interest of honesty I will say that I have previously left a negative review for The Halfway after a bad meal and bad experience. After several correspondence emails between myself and the manager I was invited back to give the food and experience another chance. And it was definitely worth going back!
The staff were brilliant and the food was awesome. We had the lamb shank roast, beef roast and gammon and all meals were perfect. The deserts were to die for, absolutely lovely and they serve a great pint of Guinness 😀.
Dogs being welcome make this the perfect pub for my family so we will definitely be going back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good pub with great food.

I popped in for a spot of lunch, i decided to opt for the lamb rogan josh, absolutely delicious, full of flavor and piping hot, washed down with one of the best pints of Brains bitter i've had in a long while! Jade and the team were so welcoming and bring a nice relaxing atmosphere to a cracking Cardiff pub.
I'll definitely pop in when in Pontcanna and plan on visiting on a Sunday as I've heard the Sunday lunch is fantastic!
