Brocka

A twist on traditional Cape Town fast food. The flavors and presentation and portion sizes make it well worth the sit down. Even their variety of drinks are worth exploring. They need to fix their electrical plugs as the switched where I tried to charge my phone were broken. I was sitting with a group and was told the plugs closest to the kitchen by the small tables were working. The food takes a while to come but always well prepared and hot. Highly recommend! 💪

Enjoyed a nice breakfast at Brocka, Canal Walk. Food came in reasonable time from order and lattes came quite quick, so time coffee orders correctly. We enjoyed the breakfast which was 2 sunny side eggs, hot chips, two nice breakfast sausages, small portion of baked beans, mushrooms and a slice of toast. Nothing too fancy but nice and sufficient at a reasonable price.

Brocka was awesome, family-friendly, and clean, the service is great and the atmosphere is amazing. They ate very affordable and have a great menu too. We stayed long after we ate and we were not rushed to leave. I would go there with my kids. The Restaurant is quite big and spacious with seats on top where you have a view of the mall or in the middle which is away from the hustle and bustle.

Really disappointed with the restaurant - for a Halaal establishment that caters to Muslim clientelle especially during Ramadaan, iftaar spent here could have been better. Very bad experience and would not recommend having iftaar here. There were ONLY THREE waiters to wait for an entire restaurant. The owners need to have more staff available during Iftaar. Waiters were amazing and tried their best to get everything together from passing out complimentary samoosas, dates, and Falooda. Food was good, and I would recommend it. However, when it came to paying the bill, the card machines stopped working and the restaurant had NO other means of paying except for Cash. Absolutely ridiculous as we live in a day and age where digital systems like Snapscan and Zapper are easily obtainable. This put everyone at an inconvenience to go out and withdraw money. The staff were very friendly and really went out of their way to manage with the little staff they had online. Bad service did not come from the waiters and present staff but due to the fact that they were under pressure and were not given the sufficient help and support from their employers.

The food was good, especially the sirloin steak and beef fillet. The portions were generous and the burgers were good as well, not a stunner though, it could be better. The prawn salad was the most disappointing. Like very very disappointing. The price and description of the salad compared to the portion and taste was very bad. The food takes a good 40 to 50 minutes to be served. Overall, it's fine.
