Short and quick review because really the only thing I remember about this place was how bad it was. I had the chicken on a stick appetizer and the Mongolian Beef. (Picture below). Chicken on the stick was ok, nothing special, would not order it again. The Mongolian beef was nasty. It had no flavor and tasted watered down with way too much sauce. Beef was swimming in the sauce and was chewy. Final Take: 4.2 / 10

Exceptional Asian Cuisine at Magic Wok. Quaint atmosphere but great service and your food is served table side and on REAL dishes and flatware. Each entree is served with a fluffy plain fried rice and a vegetable egg roll. Was here with my husband only back in November and got the Orange Chicken and it was also wonderful. This has become our go-to spot for Chinese Food on our road trips through Alabama. Now, you should build one in Fort Oglethorpe, GA! I’m sure you would get AMAZING business! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for high quality Asian food at a good price. And the service is very quick. Thank you, Magic Wok! Until next time!

WOW. Exceptional Asian food. We got the Sesame chicken and Orange chicken. Both were delicious, came with fried rice and an egg roll. All white meat chicken and your meal is served on a real plate with real flatware. None of that styrofoam and plastic forks and spoons. The price was good, too. We also found the restrooms very clean and the overall impression of the restaurant is very well kept. I wish we had one of these close to where we live. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for and appreciates QUALITY Chinese food. Will definitely return for a stop by on my next trip through Alabama.

During the “shutdown” I gave this a place a try. The prices were reasonable and the food was made to order. Now it’s just a box of grease old rice and horrible service. The The health department gave them a 89 during their last inspection. To be honest this greasy spoon needs to just close down forever.

The best place in Calera to get Chinese food. This place never disappoints us. I always get their teriyaki chicken, the sauce isn’t as heavy as most and has amazing flavor. Other members of my family have gotten the Mongolian chicken and cashew chicken. Both great dishes. Also would like to mention how easy it is to order. Teriyaki chicken is C.10 😉
