Sotiris Restaurant

I have been a customer of Sotiris from their time on Plains Rd. to their now location on Harvester Rd. The food is always good, the calamari and the Greek chicken salad are my favorite! Nothing compares, all their food is actually fantastic. My only complaint was as we were waiting in our car to go in I saw a gentleman peeing on the side of the building near the side door. Just thought it was a tad gross. I am sure employees have washrooms they can use and if you are going to do that maybe not do it at 7 pm when it is still daylight and people can see. I will definitely be back just wasn't impressed with that sight.

I had a difficult time putting together this review because there were some great points and some very poor points of our experience last night, which was our first time at Sotiris. Pros: -Beautiful restaurant -Delicious drinks & food Cons: -Waiter was inattentive and unfriendly. Never checked up on us after food was delivered to see how it is, never checked up on us to see if we needed more drinks, and seemed irritated when we would flag him down to order more items -We were seated in the first table closest to the door, which was a nice booth, but between the door constantly slamming closed, the cold air from outside drafting in, and hearing the commotion in the kitchen beside us, the ambiance was quite disappointing I'm not sure if we will return in the future. The quality of service alone was pretty disappointing considering the price points of this restaurant, or for any restaurant to be honest. I can only remember receiving service this poor maybe once or twice in the past at an East Side Marios and another restaurant in that group.

We were searching for good Greek food in the area and this was one of the top rated restaurants. After trying the food it was very disappointing. The rice and potatoes were bland and hard. The chicken and souvlaki sauce was mediocre at best. Instead of pita they gave their own homemade bread. The staff are also not that friendly here and seem to not want to be there. We would not come back here again.

Aesthetically, this restaurant looks nice. It's very Greek and the design is beautiful. The staff are mostly quite friendly as well even during busy times. The food portions are really big and overall it's quite good. However, we given dirty plates with our salad. Not only that, the table itself wasn't wiped properly and the young man at the front desk, who seemed quite indifferent, didn't really bother wiping it down. I'm not sure if it's really worth eating here again unless it's a big party or something. Otherwise, I'll stick to other places in the area within the same price range.
