The Ward

We went for a wrestling event and loved it. Loved the atmosphere and being down by the water. They have a small amusement park for children and a huge ferris wheel. But it wasn't open when we went in May. We haven't tried the food yet but they had a pretty extensive menu. But a bit pricey. We will definitely be back!

This is an amazing place with an awesome location. I came during the winter for a hockey tournament and wish I could have been there during the summer to experience the outside deck/bar and other activities. Still the restaurant was good and Riverworks Brewery makes fantastic beer. It’s really cool how they converted the industrial space.

The ambiance was really nice and the staff was very friendly. We waited for an hour for our food, though, and the soup was tepid along with cold calamari. They did refund the calamari, which was very nice of them. Our group also ordered the Grilled Chicken Bruschetta Focacia Sandwich (which was fantastic!), the Tater Tot Poutine (HUGE portion, and very good), and a berry salad that was good. It definitely seemed that they were understaffed, and we barely saw our waitress. When we did, though, she was very sweet and helpful.

The food was very good here, but the atmosphere wasn't very nice. The tables and chairs were sticky and the silverware was dirty. The servers also had somewhat of an attitude. There were a good variety of foods with some vegetarian options which was nice. I would suggest getting less food because the proportions were huge. (only appetizers or no appetizers)
