Big selection of beer, which is great if you go drink and I mean drink (😂) !!! Food I would say 3*, they need to change cook. Customer service great! Also not many people, which is good, but does not mean you won't be able to pick up a fight with some one from CCCP ( Soviet Republic)

My boyfriend and I went here to watch the World Cup, have a few beers, and enjoy air conditioning during some of the hottest days of the year. WE GOT SO MUCH MORE THAN WE BARGAINED FOR!!!!!! We went inside and immediately felt at home. It was cool and had a wonderful atmosphere. Children were playing near their families and everyone was rooting for their respective teams during the World Cup. It wasn't too crowded that we couldn't sit, but we had a choice between the bar, a booth or a beer hall type table. We ended up sitting at the bar and had the immense privilege of meeting Russell. Russell is an absolute gem and I hope you get to meet him too. He makes the bar more of a home, has FANTASTIC recommendations when it comes to food and beer, and is incredibly personable. We had an amazing conversation with him and got to know a lot about his personal and professional history. Truly a delight!
The beer was also amazing! It was honestly a little over whelming given that they have 250+ different beers bottled and about a dozen on tap. Russell came in with some amazing recommendations based on what we said we liked and even included a wonderful food pairing. For anyone going there, I highly recommend the salted croutons to snack on with your beer. They are the best croutons that I have ever had; they were warm, toasty, and perfectly salted.
Overall, it is IMPERATIVE that you visit this tap-house, see Russell and hear some of his amazing recommendations for new and interesting beers.

My girlfriend and I moved from an area where breweries were plentiful and we were having a difficult time finding a bar near us that had a decent craft selection, good food and where we would "feel at home". Draft Barn was recommended to me by a friend and the place certainly exceeded expectations!
The draft/bottle list can certainly be daunting to tackle on your own (I certainly felt overwhelmed at first) but there was a very eclectic mix to choose from. And if you are unsure, ask for Russell! His recommendations were spot-on! He was friendly and knew exactly what beers we would like! We only had the salted croutons (made in-house) to snack on while there but based on how tasty those were, I have no doubt that the other food there is great too!
We will definitely return again!

Amazing how people can have such different experiences at one place. We went here because we were told these guys make really good grenki (Russian toast.. great with beer). After we were seated, we were told that "grenki" were all gone, from the big crowd they had the day before. OK.. after reading the menu and finding many other items which sounded pretty good, we placed our orders.
I got potato pancakes (single pancake for $8, to give you and idea of the the pricing). These had very good flavor and were fried perfectly, BUT.. the entire top was covered with cold sour cream and cheese mix, which make the entire thing very soggy. When my wife politely mentioned to the waiter "Can I make a suggestion? Please tell the chef It would be better to serve the cream on the side" .. she was going to explain why, but at this point the waiter interrupted her stating "I've gotten hundreds of suggestions. This is our menu". That should tell you everything you need to know about this place.
After I've scrubbed the soggy top off my pancakes (2 orders.. since this was an appetizer) and finished them, about 15 minutes went by and we asked the waiter (who was sitting at the bar, watching TV) what was taking so long for the main course to come out. He replied "it's not up to me, chef is working on it". He then went into the kitchen and immediately came out with our food. It's probably been ready for good 10 minutes and was just sitting there. Food itself was OK (goulash, burgers, schnitzel).. not terrible, but far from special.
In conclusion.. if you just want beer and an interesting ambiance, this place is fine. For anything else, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

These people have no business running a bar. I asked for a beligian white, dude had no idea what I was talking about... Not to mention they only serve a small fraction of the beers that appear on their menu. There are plenty of good bars in Brooklyn, this ain't one them.

Fried oreos are great! But there is barely any food and they have only beer and limited wine. The staff (Demetri) was very nice!
