Lovely staff and even lovelier cakes! The only issue is parking, but you may be lucky and grab one of the few spaces by the shops.

The young lad was quiet but very polite and was doing the majority of the work while the girls stood around, yapping.

Excellent coffee cake and savory shop. Everything home made and exquisite, wide selection of all types of snack food. Good selection of bread. Divine! Limited seating but worth waiting for. Reasonable pricing and the quality if top notch. Make sure you tip the staff in the money box by the till.

We have been coming to Sponge Kitchens for years for their wonderful baguettes. I love the Bacon, Chicken and Spinach filling. I have to take away a star due to the inconsistency of the amount of filling we get. Sometimes the baguettes are heaving with filling but lately they haven’t been as full. For £6 I do expect lots of yummy filling.

Staff always pleasant and plenty of variety of cakes, buns and bread. Great selection of sandwich fillers. Always busy and as a result the small sit down area is soon filled at those times. Seating area also outside for the warmer months.

Staff welcoming and friendly, coffee (latte) very good. Didn't have a cake on this occasion, unusual for me, but as ever a good selection of freshly baked cakes. Rolls made to order and sausage rolls etc all available.

I don't understand the negativity about the staff among many of these reviews. I've always found them to be pleasant and polite. Its not the cheapest bakery but the quality is very good.

Amazing Tuna sandwich, donut, carrot cake, soft drinks… whilst out with my kid. Most importantly, a lovely welcome and great service.
