Capacillios Cafe

I order from here through Uber Eats maybe once-twice a week because I love their food so bloody much! I often order the Eggs Benedict with an iced caramel latte and I wouldn’t order it anywhere else. They have forgotten things in my order maybe twice in total (I’ve ordered from here quite a lot) but that doesn’t change my review one bit. Sometimes they can be really busy when I order and it can take a little while for my food to arrive, but the quality of the food is consistently good. And a little detail that I always love is how my name is always written really nice in cursive on my coffee cup. It’s the details that matter, and this place really nails it. I recommend them to everybody!

Great burgers, a little pricey. Kids cheeseburger didn't come with chips which was an odd omission. Also, delicious sauce/chutney, but too rich for a kids burger. One or two stars off because the tables were filthy with previous customers dirty plateswhen I went. Eventually got cleared, but table not wiped down which is basic food service I would have thought. Not good enough in COVID times.

Located in the newly constructed retail precinct in Wynnum Central, Capacillios is perfectly situated in the centre with Woolworths on one side, public transport on its door step and the new Wynnum Central Library above it. With plenty of parking outside and in the undercover area downstairs, parking is an absolute breeze. The cafe makes a nice pitstop between stops at the library or doing the groceries. There is an extensive range of drinks and a wide array of coffee to choose from. The menu is typical of cafes, from sandwiches, burgers and chips, to pancakes and egg benedict. All the crowd favourites and plenty of easy choices to select from. The cafe caters to children and the menu reflects it too. There are a lot of different specials available on the chalkboard and even free Babycinos with a purchase. The interior is thoughtfully decorated and pleasantly cool. Prices are also competitively priced. I found the coffee delicious and love the wide array of cakes and sweet to choose from, including options for both the vegan and vegetarian crowd. All in all, a nice pleasant pit stop in the middle of Wynnum.

I don’t know how the chef could call themselves a chef. I’m picturing a teenager who cannot read an order docket in the kitchen with little to no experience. Three times we’ve ordered from this cafe on Uber Eats, and three times they’ve messed up our order. Once they forgot the eggs in our bacon and egg breakfast. The second time they sent a really gross pesto and cucumber burger instead of a chicken burger (those ingredients don’t even match??) and the third time this morning, they forgot the hash brown we paid extra for. The food always arrives cold and service is slow. I’ve spoken to the owner on the phone (after I was sent the pesto burger) and he assured me the chef has had a few complaints recently so he needs to have a chat with them. But clearly nothing has changed. Never ever again!
