LOVE this place. A former corporate chef makes incredible sandwiches and salads and cookies. Excellent pastrami, meatball, Italian, and other sandwiches. The deluxe sandwich is so stuffed with meat most people won't finish it. Harold and his sons are personable and nice on every visit. UPDATE: closing permanently on Feb 8

This is the best place for sandwiches anywhere! It would be a offense on these sandwiches if I compared them to the the sandwiches at major chain restaurants. These sandwiches helped me to realize that my ways were childish in eating my sandwiches dry. I first had Fat Freddy’s in June my life has never been the same ever since. Sorry that this is not organized but I love Freddy’s sandwiches so much I can’t think clearly.

Nice local place that we will definitely revisit.
Sandwiches were made with quality ingredients, but the rye bread on my "half and half" was thinly cut and saturated on one side, making it a sticky mess to eat.
The sides are small, but adequate given the hearty sandwiches and were good, but nothing special. That's not what we went for, so no big deal for us.
Can't wait to try some other items on the menu.

This is my new go to sandwich and place. Super friendly staff, gave us samples our first time there. Meatballs are so good! The sandwiches come with a pickle spear and a side of home made potato salad, macaroni salad, pasta salad or fresh fruit. My goal is to try every sandwich on their board. Their cookies are home made and delicious too!

Awesome sandwich shop!! Why havent we come sooner!? Super clean and great menu selection, with sides. Friendly service and food was great! Big portions, generous meat, and good value! Definitely will be back!! 😁

Meatball sandwich was amazing. Sauce is perfect. I got the Turkey sandwich and they pack the white meat on so high you can't get your mouth around it. So good. Our new sandwich go to play.

Best sandwiches in Brea! Had a work event and it was my first time ordering their catering service. They made it easy, were ready on time and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend!

I recently had my sons birthday party and I’m glad I went through Fat Freddy’s for catering. I don’t know If it’s just me or other parents but throwing a party is very stressful and making sure you have great food is a number #1 priority. Ordering everything was very easy and the day of the party they were on time and very helpful. Honestly EVERYONE enjoyed the food. I ordered a variety of sandwiches, all of them were so flavorful and the portion sizes were amazing as well. I order some of their sides as well and the coleslaw has to be one of my favorites ! If you really want great tasting sandwiches and amazing catering service then I truly recommend coming/ordering from Fat Freddys 😄

Best sandwich shop in brea!! I got the ham and turkey sandwich with a side of fresh chopped fruit and a pickle. they are so filling and delicious i am definitely going back to try the rest of the sandwiches they have on the menu
