Egg Tarts are one of my favorite foods and I've tried every egg tart in bostons China town. Every single one from all the different bakerys and Dim sum places. The egg Tarts here are by far the best, the Pastry dough is so light and flakey and the filling is delicate, rich, and just sweet enough. They also don't have an overpowering egg flavor which I personally don't love in my eggs Tarts. Also, I don't know what its called but they have a tart with a bruleed top similar to a cheesecake which is really good as well.

Great selection, sweet and savory buns. Good hand food to get on the go, plus a large selection of deserts. We grabbed a hot dog scallion bun, and a desert bun that tasted a lot like a cheese Danish without the extra frosting. Both we great. Very busy place for a good reason- check them out

I’ve been trying to figure out my favorite bakery in Boston Chinatown, and I think this might be it. It has so much fun variety of breads, both savory and sweet, and everything I’ve tried here I loved! Definitely more variety than most of the other bakeries in Chinatown. There’s choices and combinations of red bean, taro, custard, coconut, matcha, cheese, pork floss, scallion, hot dog, bbq pork, egg, the list goes on and on!

Got some cake leftovers and classic Chinese pastries. This is very much like the bakeries from China - the breads, buns, and cakes - highly recommend tho I don’t have photos for all stuff I got haha

I just had the little pineapple pizza bread and the chive one. Absolutely phenomenal. Delicious, fresh, well packaged. The cakes are amazing. The entire establishment is clean. Everybody is kind and helpful. Everybody at this establishment makes me feel at home in their space and I appreciate that. Thank you very much

Though there are many different bakeries within a block from here, Top Bread is special. With COVID restrictions, everything is pre-packaged and super easy to grab and go and also get a drink. I think the selection here is more modernized and exciting, bringing together different traditional flavors with twists (like Cheese). Though you'll be paying a few more cents per item, it is definitely worth it!

Some people don’t know what is good, and what is bad. I’ve been many times to this store, and I’ve never been disappointed. Nice service, good taste food, it’s just a perfect place. I recommend it to everyone.

Top Bread is my favorite Chinatown spot for hot milk tea (香港奶茶). They have lots of styles of bubble tea on offer, plus tarts, pastries and of course, bread. The staff here is terrific! The milk tea here is the best in Chinatown. I have purchased it other purveyors and gotten an upset stomach; but it's always fresh at Top Bread. Their egg custard tarts are also excellent, top tier if not the best in the area. Why four stars and not five? The bread! The bread at Top Bread is not top. It's "OK" for sure, just not imbued with the quality ingredients I would expect or desire. For example, the Green Tea bread looks artificially colored, and tastes remarkably bland as if little or no tea was used to bake it. I have purchased Green Tea bread and cakes at other Chinatown spots, and found the flavors richer and more satisfying. I do hope that Top Bread's owners up their game here a bit.

Today I went to almost every single bakery in Chinatown, and this place was my favorite. Lots of room inside to walk around and geek out over bread without people bumping into your back. Best part was they brought out all this freshly baked bread-they were all still warm and amazingly soft. I went for a pineapple bun, which was objectively the best tasting out of all the ones I tried today. Stacks up to my favorite bakeries from Chicago and Manhattan Chinatowns. 10/10 would recommend!!
