The Sur House

Wonderful food and great service! When we were here, Sur House was the place that served all the meals, including lunches. Breakfast: lox and bagels, chia seed, Ventana breakfast are good Lunch: guac and chips, grilled chicken sandwich, churrasco 👍 Dinner: we enjoyed Santa Barbara prawns, day boat scallops, duck breast, garganelli pasta

Went to Big Sur on our way from Los Angeles to San Francisco. While exploring the area we ended up at the Sur house. It has magnificent views of the water and great surrounding landscape. Lots of area to just sit and relax. It is an expensive place so we didn't get any food but all the staff was friendly and they have a decent amount of parking.

Beautiful scenery at this location but that’s where the charm ends. We stopped in for breakfast while passing through on a road trip; we immediately received snooty attitude about the fact that we did not give a name and room number(why is this a restaurant on Google if not really open to the public?) we were then denied a seat with any view due to my service animal and seated in a shaded pavilion next to bushes that smelled of cat urine. The lack of ADA adherence and rude service will deter us from every returning and I hope this review helps others who wish to not be discriminated against.
